This upgraded 4 frame honey extractor/spinner is electric powered with a speed controller, twin direction, with a powerful 140W motor.

This upgraded extractor is made of 201 stainless-steel for the barrel and 304 stainless steel for the inner basket.

Extractor did the job well. I will make some modifications in terms of making new legs (the existing ones are a little flimsy) and will upgrade the speed controller as the existing one is a bit erratic. Then it will be bullet proof. Don't get me wrong, it's a good product but can be improved.

I was thrilled with it. I extracted 20kg out of 8 frames from 1vhive. No problems, easy to use. Made my job easy.
I received prompt delivery of my extractor . I have just finished useing it for the first time . I have only used a couple of other extractors before . I was really pleased at the way I could fit eight ideal frames in the cage . The spread control was a little jumpy but the extraction process didn’t damage any of my comb on wax foundation or my self drawn ( with wires) . It took an ideal box before the honey reached the gate which gave me time to prep the next box however in the last act of draining I needed a long handled spatula as I had screwed the unit down to the floor and don’t wish to need yo unscrew each time . I found the honey gate a bit high on the side really . I used 11 litre buckets under the unit and had the legs to the lowest setting as I’m short and I can easily put the frames in at this setting . I am very pleased with my purchase of the buzz bee four frame extractor and hope for years of service for my backyard apiaries ( 14 hives average )
I did try a manual extractor first. After ¾ of an hour of winding there was still a lot of honey in the frames.
The electric is much quieter and far less effort to use.
I was able to adjust the speed and walk away to let it do the hard work.
It allowed me to thoroughly extract all the honey from the frames.
I would not have had the patience to do that much work manually and would have finished with far less honey.
I am very happy with this extractor.
We have been using this 4 frame electric extractor for a week and it is absolutely fantastic. It takes up about the same room as a manual extractor - without the hard labour involved. It is has an exceptionally quiet motor and is well balanced. An excellent product - very professionally made - and very reasonably priced.
