This Beekeeping Basic PLUS Starter kit is designed for the person who wants to ensure that they have that all the essential in place to not only get up and going but manage every day inspections. This kit enables you to straight away to use a strong and sturdy platform for the beehive ensuring its is securely located.

In addition the kits contains all the essentials to allow you to not only inspect your hive to find your queen bee but to also mark her too. The Basic PLUS kit has all the main parts you need to get started with a new bee hive, more beekeeper tools and includes a full length bee suit for your protection.

The newly improved popular Buzzbee Double Level Langstroth beehive allows for future expansion whilst having all the main parts of a full beehive to use now.

The Basic PLUS Beekeeping Starter Kit contains:

8 Frame Buzzbee Langstroth Beehive
- Ventilated Floor (not the cheaper flat floor)
- 2 x Deep Full sized Boxes
  - one for the brood
  - one for the honey super
- Queen Excluder to keep the queen bee down in the bottom brood box
- Inner cover which has many uses
  - used as a ceiling in the hive.
  - when used in conjunction with top feeders, can feed the bees.
  - when adding a bee escape to the centre, can assist in clearing the bees from the honey super for harvesting.

Care of your Rhinoguard Beekeeping Suit

Properly store your beekeeping suit by hanging it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fabric degradation. Clean the suit regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions to remove bee pheromones and reduce the risk of attracting bees. Ensure it’s fully dry before storing to prevent mould and mildew.

Preparation Guide - Assembly Buzzbee Wooden Beehive

Assembling the Wooden Beehive with Wood Glue and Screws
Start by following the assembly instructions provided in the Buzzbee Langstroth Assembly Manual. Begin by laying out all the wooden components and identifying the pieces. Apply a high-quality wood glue to the joints and edges where the wooden parts connect. Align the pieces carefully and secure them with screws, following the recommended screw placement in the manual. Ensure each joint is tight and properly aligned to create a sturdy, square structure.

Securing the Hive for Durability
After screwing and gluing all parts together, double-check that the beehive is stable and level. The combination of wood glue and screws ensures a durable and long-lasting assembly. Allow the glue to cure completely as per the manufacturer's instructions before moving on to the finishing touches, such as sanding any rough edges or cleaning up excess glue.

Painting the Exterior of a Paradise Honey Polystyrene Beehive
After the assembly of the Buzzbee Langstroth wooden hive use a UV-protective, water-based exterior paint to protect it from weathering. Apply the paint evenly to the exterior surfaces, using at least two or three coats for thorough coverage. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next, ensuring that the hive is fully dry before placing it outdoors to provide long-lasting protection against the elements.
