Maintain peak performance of your InstantVap® oxalic acid vaporiser with these QuickClean Silicone Caps, designed to make cleaning faster, safer, and more effective. Suitable for the Turbo, Original, and Compact models (not compatible with Lite), these caps are an essential accessory for routine maintenance.

Crafted from heat-resistant silicone, they allow you to flush residue safely, extending the lifespan and reliability of your vaporiser. Each pack includes two caps, ensuring you always have a spare on hand.

How to Use:

  1. Ensure the appliance is clear of blockages.

  2. Always wear protective gear – long sleeves, heavy gloves, mask, and safety eyewear. Oxalic acid vapour may still escape during cleaning. Risk of burns.

  3. Switch off the unit after use, but keep the battery connected.

  4. Allow the vaporiser to cool to approx. 390°F (200°C).

  5. Remove the oxalic acid dispenser.

  6. Half-fill the silicone QuickClean Cap with distilled water. With the unit inverted, press the cap firmly onto the dispenser tube.

  7. Hold securely, invert the appliance, and repeat the process.

What is the difference between instantvap original and compact?

This InstaVap Oxalic Acid Vaporiser Compact is a lower-priced alternative to the Original Instavap but with the same heating capacity. It is designed to quickly vaporize oxalic acid inside the hive to kill varroa mites on the bees. It's an innovation in oxalic acid vaporisers.

Does the InstantVap Compact come with a battery?

No, batteries are not included. It's compatible with major brands like DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ridgid, and Bosch. Use 5Ah or higher batteries for optimal performance.

Can I use a Ryobi battery with it?

Yes! Just use our Ryobi-to-DeWalt Adapter if you're using the DeWalt-compatible version of the Compact.

What kind of oxalic acid should I use?

Always use a registered, beekeeper-safe product Api-Bioxal.

Is safety equipment required?

Yes, a quality respirator is essential. We recommend the 3M Respirator 7500 Series Mask with the 60923 model 3M Cartridge for Respirators.
In addition eye protection with Protective Glasses and Disposable Safety Nitrile Gloves.

How long does it take to treat one hive?

Depending upon the model chosen, the amount of oxalic acid and ambient temperature the time will vary. However approximately, each treatment takes about 15 seconds for the Turbo, 25 seconds for the Compact and 60 seconds for the Lite. The InstantVap is one of the fastest and most efficient vaporisation tools available

How many hives can I treat per battery charge?

This depends on the battery and dosage used. For example, a 6Ah DeWalt battery can treat up to 22 hives using 4g doses, or up to 44 hives with 2g doses. See the full comparison chart above for more estimates.
